Of course, Penny would pick the smartest yoga mat on the market. Kaley Cuoco has her own YogaForce Mat and Mayim Bialik, who played Amy, also has her own YogaForce Mat which she took from the last episode to keep for her own practice and as a memento from the show. All cast members got to select something from the set to take home.
I was happy to get the call a few weeks ago that the YogaForce A-Line Mat, by the door of Apartment 4 A for the final three seasons, will be part of the forever set exhibit of Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood (WBSTH) Script to Screen where you can feel like you are part of the show and even sit in Sheldon Cooper’s spot.
“For twelve seasons and 279 episodes, the cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory found their home away from home on these sets on Stage 25,” says Chuck Lorre, co-creator and executive producer of The Big Bang Theory, “We’re thrilled that Apartment 4A and other Big Bang locales will remind visitors of all the laughter that took place on our show.”
“We are excited to invite fans of The Big Bang Theory to step into these iconic sets from such a beloved show,” said Gary Soloff, Director of Marketing, WBSTH. “There is nothing like being in the very spot that legendary film and TV shows were created and seeing authentic sets up close and personal. It’s a truly emotional experience especially with a memorable show that has such a broad global following.”
This is not the first honor recently bestowed on the series at WB. Earlier this year Stage 25 was christened in its honor, now The Big Bang Theory Stage. Originally built in 1935, Stage 25 has housed productions of Casablanca, Bonnie and Clyde, and Blade Runner (among others), and this is the fifth time in the history of Warner Bros. Studios that a soundstage has been ‘named’ rather than numbered.
Stage 24 was marked as The Friends Stage in 2004; Stage 11 was named The ER Stage in 2009; Stage 1 became The Ellen Stage after the 2,000th episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015, and Stage 26 was named The Two and a Half Men Stage. Incidentally, Two and a Half Men is yet another long-running, successful Chuck Lorre-helmed comedy.
